Chris Mayne (head Coach and Owner):
Football/AFL Career:
My passion for football ignited at an early age – as soon as I found my footing, football became a constant companion. My journey in junior football started at Belmont Football Club, where I earned my stripes in all talent squads at Perth Football Club during the 14s and 15s development squads. Progressing to the Colts level with Perth Football Club presented both challenges and opportunities. A setback in my first Colts year, due to injury, interrupted my draft aspirations, but resilience prevailed, leading to my draft selection in the second year, marking the commencement of my AFL journey with the Fremantle Dockers.
Over nine years, I proudly wore the Fremantle jumper. My on-field ability and contribution were acknowledged in 2012 with a runner-up Best and Fairest award in a breakout year. Additionally Honoured with being named in the 2013 All-Australian Squad.
Coach Brayden Ainsworth
In my journey from the AFL to leading youth mental health initiatives at Happiness Co, I’ve dedicated myself to empowering individuals to overcome life’s challenges.
My focus is on fostering overall wellness and mental well-being, guided by a philosophy that centers on understanding emotions, beliefs, and values. I advocate embracing discomfort as a pathway to inner wisdom, fostering self-awareness, and cultivating an authentic connection with one’s own life—essential elements I see for becoming an A-grade person and athlete.
My mission is clear: to empower and guide the next generation towards their goals. That’s why I am proud to be a part of the Mayne Academy.
Cheers,
Bray

Austin Grader –Videographer
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had a passion for capturing photos and videos and was always found with a camera, capturing anything I found interesting! I was able to turn that passion into a full time career and have been running my own photo & video business for 6 years. I now have the opportunity to combine both my passion for media and sport and work with some amazing people and athletes in all different industries.
Mayne Academy is aimed to genuinely help footy players in all areas of life; physical, mental, emotional, and so much more. I’m excited to capture and document content for Chris and the team and watch these young players grow and develop into the best athletes they can be.
